Process and Characteristics of Population Urbanization in Developed Countries

当前,发达国家已基本完成人口城市化倒“S”型阶段演进。发达国家人口城市化以健全的市场经济体制为保障,并保持与工业化、农业现代化同步,与国民经济发展水平呈正相关关系。发达国家人口城市化呈阶段性演进,经历了集中型城市化、郊区城市化和逆城市化阶段。发达国家的人口城市化经验,对当前我国的人口城市化进程具有一定的启示意义。

Developed countries have basically completed the inverted S-shaped evolution of population urbanization.The urbanization of population in developed countries is guaranteed by a sound market economy system.The urbanization of population is synchronized with industrialization and agricultural modernization.It is positively related to the level of national economic development.The urbanization of population is evolving in stages and has gone through the stages of centralized urbanization,sub-urbanization and counter-urbanization.Combining with the reality of population urbanization in China,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to improve the level and quality of population urbanization.
