辽代农业历史悠久,早在契丹部落时期就重视农业生产的发展。辽朝建国后农业生产力发展到了较高的水平,使农业生产满足了人们日常生活的需要。辽朝契丹族统治者制定了合理的土地制度和农业政策,促进了辽朝农业生产的发展。通过对辽代农业溯源、技术和土地制度及农业政策的研究,可以看出辽代农牧民族关系的发展变化,对研究辽代汉化问题以及辽国采取"因俗而治"的政策具有重要的借鉴意义。

Liao Dynasty has a long history of agriculture. As early as the Khitan tribal period, it paid attention to the development of agricultural production. After the founding of Liao Dynasty, agricultural productivity developed to a higher level, which made agricultural production meet the needs of peoples’ daily life. The rulers of Khitan in Liao Dynasty formulated reasonable land system and agricultural policy, which promoted the development of agricultural production in Liao Dynasty. Through the study of agricultural traceability, technology, land system and agricultural policy in Liao Dynasty, we can see the development and changement of the national relationship between agriculture and animal husbandry in Liao Dynasty, which is of great significance to the study of the sinicization in Liao Dynasty and the adoption of the policy of "governing by custom".
