This study aimed to explore the genetic parameters of YX China-Line Duroc Specialized Strain boars. In this study, the backfat thickness(BF),average daily gain(ADG),average daily feed intake(ADFI),feed conversion ratio(FCR)and residual feed intake(RFI)of 384 growing-finishing Duroc boars from intensive pig farms were estimated by the DMU program for genetic parameter. The results showed that the genetic variance of ADFI and RFI accounted for 87.73%and 84.91%of the phenotypic variance, respectively;the genetic variance of BF and ADG accounted for 58.77%and 58.91%of the phenotypic variance, respectively. The phenotypic correlation coefficients between RFI and BF,and ADG were zero, while the genetic correlation coefficients were-0.22 and 0.15,respectively.The phenotypic and genetic correlation coefficients between RFI and ADFI were 0.98 and 0.99,respectively,and the phenotypic and genetic correlation coeffcient between RFI and FCR was 0.44 and 0.81 respeetively. The estimated heritability of the multi-trait model and the single-trait model was basically consistent. The heritability of ADG and FCR was 0.27 and 0.19,respectively,which were of low heritability traits;and the estimated heritability of BF,ADFI and RFI was in the range of 0.31~0.46,which were of moderate heritability traits.
