Forest ecosystem health is a key index to measure forest quality and an important factor to determineforest ecosystem services. With the development of climate change,environmental pollution and forest ecosystemdegradation research,the health of forest ecosystem has attracted more and more attention. Forest ecosystemhealth monitoring uses various information collection,processing and analysis techniques and other related technologiesto systematically observe,determine,analyze and evaluate forest ecosystems in order to fully display the changes inforest resources and ecological conditions during the monitoring period,and to comprehensively reveal the relationshipsand internal changes of various factors. Scientific,objective and accurate monitoring of forest ecosystem health is aneffective means to grasp its health status and trends in a timely manner,is an important basis for further study of thehealth maintenance and evolution mechanism of forest ecosystems,is the theoretical support for forest health managementand forest health management. This paper analyzed the connotation of forest ecosystem health monitoring,the presentsituation of the development,the different scale of forest ecosystem health monitoring methods and their characteristics werediscussed in this paper,to provide reference for rational selection of forest ecosystem health monitoring scales and methods.
