济南市章丘区东平陵城遗址铸造区2009年发掘简报

The Excavation of the Ironworks in the Dong Pingling City Site in Zhangqiu District, Jinan City in 2009

东平陵城遗址位于山东省济南市章丘区龙山镇阎家村北,在城子崖遗址东北2公里处,西距济南市区约35公里(图一)。城址平面呈正方形,城墙边长约2000、宽达40米,城内面积约400万平方米,城墙外约10米处有壕沟,宽达30~50米。城内现主要为农田,地表以上保存有城墙,其中东墙、西墙和南墙的东部保存较好,最高可达5米。该城始建于战国时期,汉代为济南国都、济南郡首府,是北方地区的手工业重镇,设置有工官、铁官。

In 2009,Shandong Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and other institutions jointly conducted excavation to the Dong Pingling City Site located to the north of Yanjia Village in Longshan Town,Zhangqiu City(present-day Zhangqiu District,Jinan City),Shandong.The recovered features included ash pits,iron-smelting furnaces,house foundations,iron ingot storage cellars,mold-baking kilns,clay storage ponds,water wells and ash ditches,from which iron implements and artifacts related to casting work were unearthed;the iron implements were farming tools,handicraft tools,fittings,weapons,etc.The remains of this casting zone could be divided into five phases,the date of which were from the late Warring-States Period to the mid and late Eastern Han Dynasty.The iron workshop remains found in the excavation were mainly for casting and forging iron implements,the products of which were monotonous and highly specialized,so it was inferred to be the location of the tieguan(iron monopoly office)of the Dong Pingling City of the Han Dynasty.The excavation of the ironworks of the Dong Pingling City Site provided important materials for the researches on the iron production and iron monopoly system of the Han Dynasty.
