目的论视域下《医学美学与美容医学名词》英译探索

A Report of C-E Translation Project of Chinese Terms in Medical Aesthetics and Aesthetic Medicine Based on Vermeer’s Skopos Theory

2015年11月,全国科学技术名词审定委员会公布了《医学美学与美容医学名词》,该美容医学工具书填补了国内外在规范医学美学与美容医学学科方面的空白。近年来,弗米尔的翻译目的论对包括医学翻译在内的实用翻译实践与理论研究的有效性得到验证。因此,在翻译目的论的指导下,对该书2034个词条的定义进行了英文翻译,以期对外宣传中国在该领域的成绩,深化中外学术交流与对话。

In November,2015,Chinese Terms in Medical Aesthetics and Aesthetic Medicine was published by China National Committee for Terms in Sciences and Technologies.This reference book is one of a kind all over the world.At the same time,Vermeer’s Skopos theory of translation has been proved to be effective in the translation practice and study of medical documents.In order to introduce Chinese achievements in medical aesthetics and aesthetic medicine and to promote global communication and cooperation in this field,a translation group consisting of medical professionals and translation experts from universities translated the definitions of 2034 terms of the book from the perspective of Vermeer’s Skopos theory.Since this project has basically been finished,a report was made about its procedure and problems to attract scholars to pay attention to and even engage themselves in the translation of medical documents.
