摘要 持续增长的带宽容量需求推动着光纤通信技术的快速发展,多芯光纤(MCF)有望成为克服当前光通信系统容量限制的理想选择。基于此,介绍了用于未来大容量长距离传输系统中的空分复用MCF的最新进展,阐述了几种降低MCF芯间串扰的技术方案,提出了MCF中低串扰和高纤芯密度之间的平衡问题,并讨论了具有高空间信道数的少模-多芯光纤(FM-MCF)的应用前景,为进一步增加空间信道数和传输容量提供了发展方向。 The increasing bandwidth capacity demand drives the rapid development of fiber communication technology.Multicore fibers(MCFs)are expected to be an ideal choice to overcome the capacity limit of optical communication systems.Based on this,the recent developments of MCFs for space-division multiplexing in future large-capacity long-distance transmission systems are introduced.Several technical solutions for reducing crosstalk of MCFs are described.Trade-off relationship between low crosstalk and high core density of MCFs is proposed.In addition,the application prospects of few-mode MCFs(FM-MCFs)with high spatial channel count are discussed,which provide a development direction for further increasing the spatial channel count and transmission capacity.
