摘要
经由沈清松先生这些年来所提“多元他者”这一重要哲学语汇,反思儒教与基督宗教的根本论题,并且试图经由“慷慨”与“外推”等方法展开论述。首先,试图指出儒教之为“觉性”的宗教,而基督宗教之为“信靠”的宗教,其义何在、异同何在;再者,经由石衡潭博士《论语》《圣经》对读所引发的争议,重新审视其意义及其限制,进一步阐述其慷慨给予及外推的限制与可能。经由慷慨无私的赠予,及实践的外推、语言的外推,进而达到更深层的本体之外推的可能,可以发现“觉性”必本于“信靠”,“信靠”必本于“觉性”,“觉性”与“信靠”并不是敌对的两端,虽有区别却可以融通,而这将指向21世纪深层的文明交谈之可能与必要。
The purpose of this paper is to rethink the essential theses of Confucianism and Christianity in light of the significant notion of“many others”,“generosity”and“strangification”suggested by Professor Vincent Shen.First,the paper tries to indicate that Confucianism is a religion of human awareness while Christianity is a religion of human trust in God with an analysis of their similarities and differences.It then reviews the debate caused by Dr.Shi Hengtan s reading of Bible and Analects to discuss the limits and prospects of the notions of“generosity”and“strangification”.It can be seen that the source of the process from“pragmatic strangification”,“linguistic strangification”to“ontological strangification”is the“generous givenness”and that the human awareness and human trust in God are dependent on each other.There is a potential communication between the ideas of human awareness and human trust in God which presents the possibility and necessity of deep inter-cultural dialogue in 21st century.
