Trace of Enshi History and Culture——Field Research of Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Western Hubei

湖北鄂西地区的恩施州有着悠久的历史文化遗存在这块以土家族和苗族为主聚居的地区,蕴藏着施南的文风、聚集着书院的遗存,屹立着唐崖土司城遗址、透露着杨梅古寨的今古风尚,利川石龙寺更是氤氲着人文意蕴。对该地悠久的历史传承、别样的乡土风俗、厚重的文化积淀,更应当在发掘、传承与弘扬中,促使其从传统逐渐走向现代。

The Enshi Prefecture in western Hubei has a long historical and cultural remains,in the new era today,we cannot forgot about this.This area mainly inhabited by Tujia and Miao ethnic groups,and with literary style of Shinan and many relics.When we study the long history of the place,the local customs and the culture,we should also explore,inherit and carry forward it from tradition to modernity,so as to get more confidence about the culture.
