On the basis of research in academic circle and consulting nearly 4,000 literatures,YU Shaohong made a great contribution by creating The Collation and Annotation of Chu Bamboo Slips collected in Shanghai Museum(《上海博物馆藏楚简校注》).This book has high academic value,it is conducive to the study of ancient Chinese characters,to the research of general Chinese graphology and the history of Chinese characters and language development,and it is also beneficial for the study of literature,history and philosophy which is based on bamboo slips and silk documents.The characteristics of this book could be summarized into three points:considerable information with extensive cases;elaborate selection with rigorous attitude;lexical interpretation with new perspective.
