Hydrofluoric acid is widely used in various industrial fields and daily life due to its high reactivity.Small areas of hydrofluoric acid burns can be lethal.The severity depends on the location,area,concentration and time of skin contacting hydrofluoric acid.Timely and effective treatment is crucial for the prognosis of patients with hydrofluoric acid burns.This paper summarizes the clinical features,treatment and its progress of hydrofluoric acid burns by extensive reading of the literature.
