Some Thoughts on Sino-Russian Relations in the New Era

2019年是中俄建交70周年。70年来,中俄关系走过了不平凡的历程,其中的经验教训值得深刻汲取。当下,国际关系进入了大变局,中俄关系也步入了新时代。要确保中俄关系行稳致远,要确保中国在中俄关系中更好地实现自己的国家利益,就需要深入理解和认识俄罗斯的思维方式和行为方式,遵循“睦邻、友好、合作、平等信任”、“永久和平、世代友好”、“不结盟、不对抗、不针对第三方”以及“非意识形态化”这些根本原则,更精细地权衡中俄关系的成本收益和效益边界。

The year 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia.Over the past 70 years,the Sino-Russian relations have gone through an extraordinary process,the experience of which is worth reflecting on.At present,international relations is undergoing great changes,and Sino-Russian relations have also entered a new era.In order to ensure the stability of Sino-Russian relations and the better realization of China’s national interests,it is necessary to deeply understand Russian way of thinking and acting and to weigh the gain and cost in conducting the Sino-Russian relations more carefully,following the fundamental principles of“good neighborhood with friendship,cooperation,equality and trust”,“permanent peace,friendship from generation to generation”,“non-alignment,non-confrontation,non-targeting third parties”and“non-ideologicalization”.
