王阳明心学理论是时代的产物,它的产生也适应了明王朝西南边疆治理形势的需要,并在西南边疆的治理实践中发挥了重要作用。在他的"致良知"这一心学理论指导下,其在贵州社会上层的"攻心"策略和在广西社会下层的"治心"策略都获得了比较大的成功。他的成功对我国的边疆治理具有重要的启示价值:一是充分发挥少数民族精英的作用;二是发挥基层乡规民约的作用;三是发挥教育机构在开启民智方面的作用;四是提高少数民族对国家的认同;五是注重边疆地方治理机构和制度的完善,特别是法制的完善。
