《歧路灯》“官场”描写述论

On the description of "officialdom" in Qilu Deng

李绿园《歧路灯》以写"教子"为中心,旁及官场,写了个别的贪官和大量的"好官";其托明代以写清中叶,揭发指斥官场的时弊已至不可救药的地步,却指望着政治清明,多一些人入官场后能洁身自好,并前无古人地在书中传授暗黑世纪里做官的经验。但结果是,这部小说并没有给人以改良政治的信心,小说家创作"名臣传"干政救世,遭遇了古罗马历史学家所谓的"塔西佗陷阱",因而小说虽写了那么多的"好官",却从来未能引起读者的注意。

Li Luyuan′s Qilu Deng centers on the writing of "teaching children" besides officialdom,and depicts individual corrupt officials and a large number of "good officials".Pretending to write in the Ming Dynasty,he actually wrote the middle of the Qing Dynasty and denounced the corruption of officialdom.Despite the corruption of the government,he expected political clarity.Many people could preserve their moral integrity after entering official circles and pass on their experience of being an official in the dark century.But the result is that the book does not give people the confidence to improve politics.The novelist′s mind of participating in politics and saving the world in "the biography of famous courtiers" met the so-called " Tacitus trap" of ancient Roman historians.Thus,there are so many "good officials" in Qilu Deng,but they have never attracted the attention of readers.
