当代伊拉克作家艾哈迈德·赛阿达维的小说《巴格达的弗兰肯斯坦》,是2014年第七届"阿拉伯布克奖"的获奖作品,赛阿达维以伊拉克战争之后的巴格达为背景,打造了一个亦真亦幻的世界,具有浓厚的魔幻现实主义特色。小说中大量"神奇的描写"、充满悬念与神秘的叙事风格,在虚实之间揭示出伊拉克战争之后近乎荒诞的社会现状,具有深刻的社会意义。
The contemporary Iraqi writer Ahmed Saadawi’s novel Frankenstein in Baghdad is the winner of the 7 th "Arab Booker Award" in 2014.In this novel Saadawi creates a magical real world based on what happened to Baghdad after the Iraq War.With its large number of "magical descriptions" and suspenseful narrative style of mystery, the novel reveals the almost absurd social situations after the Iraq War and proves its profound social significance.
