Tradition and Modernity: the Forms and Functions of the Two Square Dances

文章借用舞蹈生态学"舞体"及"功能"的概念,从传统广场舞和现在广场舞的现象入手,分析其与舞体生活的关系及社会功能定位。虽然二者形成于不同的时期,具有不同的功能定位,但他们的社会作用都是和谐社会,推动社会向前发展。

Based on the concepts of "dance body"and "function"in dance ecology,this paper starts with the phenomena of traditional square dance and present square dance,and analyses its relationship with dance body life and its social function orientation.Although they formed in different periods,they have different functional orientations. Their social roles are to build a harmonious society and to promote social development.
