Manufacture of Four Core 2×2 Array Optical Fiber Tweezers

摘要 为了给分子生物学、免疫学、基因工程等生物医学研究提供有效的细胞操控工具,为微细加工、物理学及光谱学等领域提供实验手段,通过光纤熔融拉锥(Fused Biconical Taper,FBT)工艺,研制出4芯2×2阵列光纤光镊器件,并介绍了相关制造方法及关键技术。采用50/125μm多模光纤进行拉锥,4根光纤的排列形式为矩形,光镊尖端各纤芯径约1μm,各纤光功率传输损耗<0.5 dB,光纤光镊锥角30°左右,工作波长为1 053 nm。 In order to provide effective cell manipulation implements for biomedical research such as molecular biology,immunology,genetic engineering etc,and to provide experimental means for micro processing,physics,spectroscopy and other fields,a four-core 2×2 array optical tweezers is developed by the fused biconical taper(FBT)process.The manufacturing methods and key technologies are introduced.The 50/125μm multimode fiber is used for taper.Four fibers are arranged in a rectangle.The core diameter of each fiber at the tip of the optical tweezers is about 1μm,the optical power transmission loss of each fiber is about 0.5 dB,the taper angle of the optical tweezers is about 30°,and the working wavelength is 1053 nm.
