The innovation in the field of educational technology is very prominent, the application of immersive virtual reality in teaching has always been the focus of educational researchers. Many studies have shown that this technology has significant potential benefits in improving learning outcomes and students’ motivation, overcoming school and exam anxiety, and ensuring students’ focus on teaching content. However, head mounted displays and virtual reality software used in schools still has the problem of over investment. This paper reviews the application of virtual reality in education, focusing on technology and teaching, integration and evaluation criteria.
