Objective To construct the pre-anesthesia assessment content of adult general anesthesia in order to provide evidence for pre-anesthesia assessment standard. Methods The pre-anesthesia assessment was constructed by content analysis of pre-anesthesia assessment guidelines, anesthesia risk assessment tools, and clinical anesthesia assessment sheets. Use 2 rounds of Delphi expert consultation to identify the dimensions, entries, and indicators of the pre-anesthetic assessment. Results After 2 rounds of Delphi expert consultation, 31 experts were selected. The efficiency of the two rounds of questionnaires was 100%, the expert authority coefficient was 0.91, and Coordination coefficient W was 0.217 and 0.163(P<0.01), indicating the positive degree, authority and coordination degree of the selected experts higher. In the second round of Delphi expert consultation, a total of 173 comments were made and the research team adopted 135 articles(78.0%). Finally, the pre-anesthesia assessment of adult general anesthesia patients was defined, including 6 dimensions, 53 items, and 106 indicators. Conclusion The pre-anesthesia assessment of adult general anesthesia is scientific and reasonable, and it is suitable for use in China. The follow-up study will focus on the evaluation model and promote the evaluation and specialization of the pre-anesthesia assessment center.
