Research Progress on the Detection Methods for the Nipah Virus

尼帕病毒(Nipah virus,NiV)是一种烈性人畜共患病原体,该病毒自从1998年在马来西亚暴发后,相继在新加坡、印度、孟加拉等国多次出现,引发人类重症呼吸道和神经系统疾病,病死率较高。由于NiV的高致病性、具有大流行的潜在威胁以及缺乏有效的抗病毒药物和疫苗,因此建立灵敏、快速、特异的检测和诊断方法对于防控未来的NiV疫情尤为重要。本文就NiV检测方法的研究进展进行概述。

The Nipah virus(NiV)is a zoonotic paramyxovirus. Since an outbreak in Malaysia in 1998,the virus has reappeared in Singapore,India,Bangladesh and other countries,resulting in severe and fatal human respiratory and neurologic diseases. Due to the high pathogenicity of the NiV,the potential for pandemics,and the lack of efficacious antiviral drugs and vaccines,the research and development of sensitive,rapid,and specific diagnostic tools for preventing and controlling future outbreaks is crucial. Here,we discuss research progress on the detection methods for the NiV.
