Farewell to the God of Plague:Review of Latest Advances in the Technology Used in the National Schistosomiasis Elimination Programme of China

经过60余年的综合治理,我国正在向消除血吸虫病阶段迈进。本文综述了近年来发展的日本血吸虫感染性钉螺鉴别、钉螺控制、人群和家畜日本血吸虫感染检测技术及信息技术等已用于我国流行区现场消除血吸虫病工作实践的几种适宜技术,旨在为我国消除血吸虫病策略制定、流行区现场选择消除血吸虫病工具等提供参考依据。

Under the integrated control for more than 60 years, China has currently been moving towards schistosomiasis elimination. This article described several appropriate technology that had been recently developed and employed in the on-site schistosomiasis eliminational activities in China, including identification of Schistosoma japonicum in Oncomelania hupensis, snail control,detection technologies of S. japonicum infections in humans and domestic animals and information technology, in order to provide insights and references for the development of the national schistosomiasis elimination strategy and the selection of tools for the on-site schistosomiasis elimination.
