All-hands-on-deck for Girls to Be Involved in STEM Education:Policies and Practices from the United States

在STEM教育的重要性日益凸显之时,各国研究者与政府均发现了女性在STEM教育和相关行业中的参与度不足的问题。过去10年中,美国在奥巴马政府和现任特朗普政府的推动下,各界遵循“全民推进”的理念,从社会文化、校内教育、工作环境等多角度入手,努力提升女生在STEM教育中的参与度和参与质量。

While the importance of STEM education has been increasingly prominent,researchers and governments across the world found the challenge of girls’low involvement in STEM education.In the past 10years,under the initiatives from President Obama and Trump’s governments,US is pushing forward this issue with the notion of All-hands-on-deck,with measures including social culture,school education and working conditions,to increase the involvement of girls in STEM education.
