摘要
隐喻能力概念的提出从应用认知语言学的角度为二语习得的发展提供了新思路。通过对隐喻能力相关理论进行归纳和界定,以语篇教学为切入点,探讨了英语专业语篇教学与隐喻能力二者的思维本质和系统性特点,提出了新趋势下将学习者隐喻能力的发展与英语专业语篇教学相结合的五个步骤,并结合具体语篇《优秀学生是如何炼成的》展开分析,阐述了语篇中隐喻的运用和特点及它们对语篇谋篇布局和主题思想表达的作用。认为语篇教学和隐喻能力发展二者相互作用,语篇教学能促进学生的隐喻能力发展,发展学生的隐喻能力能补足语篇教学的短板。
Metaphorical competence,as a new concept in the field of Applied Cognitive Linguistics,provides a new way for the development of second language acquisition.On the basis of summarizing the theories related to metaphorical competence,we redefined its concept,which is suitable for answering the questions in this research.In terms of the essential features of thought and systematicity between English discourse teaching and metaphorical competence,we explore the operation of metaphors in discourses,looking for a breakthrough by combining them.Thus,in order to solve the problems in the development of L2 metaphorical competence of English majors,we propose an idea of combining it with the five steps of discourse teaching.The study is conducted on a specific text chosen from textbooks for English majors,through which the characteristics of metaphors in discourse and their role in the organization of discourse and the shaping of theme are discussed.Consequently,the interaction between discourse teaching and metaphorical competence can both solve the problem of metaphorical competence development of English majors and discourse teaching improvement.
