CiteSpace and the Teaching of Master’s Degree in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery

目的探讨CiteSpace在耳鼻咽喉头颈外科硕士研究生教学中的应用。方法以耳鼻咽喉头颈外科常见疾病"胆脂瘤"为例,介绍可视化软件CiteSpace在科研教学中的应用价值。结果使用CiteSpace挖掘出在胆脂瘤领域的研究热点及研究前沿,以及在胆脂瘤领域作出重要贡献的高产国家、机构和作者,找出了在本领域的核心期刊,以及近5年中已发表的关于胆脂瘤的经典文献。结论可视化软件CiteSpace在科研教学中具有很好的应用价值,为研究生们初步了解某个研究领域提供新的有效方法,通过可视化图谱的方式生动形象地呈现研究领域的重要信息,提高学生们的学习效率和研究兴趣。

Objective To explore the application of CiteSpace in the teaching of master’s degree students in otolaryngology head and neck surgery. Method This study took the common disease of otolaryngology head and neck surgery "cholesteatoma" as an example, introduced the application value of visualization software Cite Space in scientific research and teaching. Result Cite Space was used to excavate research hotspots and frontiers in the field of cholesteatoma, as well as highyield countries, institutions and authors who have made important contributions in the field of cholesteatoma. Core journals in this field and classical literature on cholesteatoma published in recent five years were identified. Conclusion Visualization software Cite Space has a very good application value in scientific research and teaching. It provides a new and effective method for graduates to understand a certain research field initially. It vividly presents important information in the research field through visual atlas, and improves students’ learning efficiency and research interest.
