摘要
先秦有着丰富的文图关系,既有文字与图像的关系,也有文学与文学图像的关系。先秦的文与图都属于先秦文化的一部分,它们受制于该时代的文化生产阶层和该时代的文化诸要素。文章从文化的视角探讨了先秦文图关系与先秦文化的关联,阐述了作为一种事实现象的先秦文图关系如何具体受先秦文化影响和制约:就文图的共同材料来说,先秦文图的内容与当时知识阶层记录和生产的知识有关;从文图的存在形态来说,先秦文、图的形态与物质(媒介)文化有关;从文图功用来说,在王权文化和儒家文化推动下,先秦文图的教化功能变得十分突出;从文图生成的深层原因来说,“上古”的象思维最终促成了文图关系之生成。
China’s pre-Qin era saw a multiplicity of relations between language,literature and portraiture.Literature and portraiture,as part of pre-Qin culture,were shaped by the class-based cultural production and cultural elements of the period.This paper is an attempt to clarify such relations.It points out that the literature-portraiture relationship was first of all a result of the shaping impact of the pre-Qin culture;that in terms of content,both literature and portraiture were closely connected with the then prevalent channels of knowledge recording and production;that in terms of format,both literature and portraiture were based on the material(media)culture of the time;that in terms of function,both became very prominent tools for moral and ideological education under the impetus of royal power and Confucian culture;that in terms of deep shaping force,both came under the spell of imagistic thinking of the ancient period.
