Objective To explore the application of meal replacement with dietary fiber combined with diet management of medical food with low glycemic index in patients with type 2 diabetes. Methods To select 90 cases of patients with type 2 diabetes treated in our hospital from April 2018 to April 2019 as study subjects, and they were randomly divided into observation group and control group. The control group was given conventional diabetes dietary guidance. The observation group was given meal replacement with dietary fiber combined with diet management of medical food with low glycemic index based on this. The nutritional intake, intestinal flora, and blood lipid and blood glucose levels of the two groups were compared. Results The energy, fat and carbohydrate intake of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the protein intake was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in spherical Clostridium,Clostridium leptum,Bacteroides, and Bifidobacterium between the two groups(P>0.05).The indexes of blood glucose and blood lipid levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Meal replacement with dietary fiber combined with diet management of medical food with low glycemic index could improve the intake of various energy substances and blood glucose and blood lipid levels in patients with type 2 diabetes without affecting the intestinal flora, which was worth popularizing and applying.
