Objective To explore the value of "5 E" rehabilitation model in patients with diabetes. Methods A total of 94 patients who underwent diabetes treatment in the hospital were selected as study samples. The treatment time was between November 2017 and November 2018. They were randomly divided into 47 cases of routine group and test group each. The basic group of patients with basic rehabilitation nursing measures were given, and the experimental group "5 E" rehabilitation mode was given to compare the two groups’ compliance behaviors and quality of life scores. Results The scores of the experimental group in the drug, diet, exercise, regular follow-up and self-monitoring were higher than the conventional group(P<0.05). The scores of the experimental group were lower than the conventional group in the level I anxiety, level II anxiety, impact and satisfaction(P<0.05). Conclusion Applying the "5 E" rehabilitation mode to the continuous care of patients with diabetes can improve the patient’s compliance with medical behavior and improve their quality of life. It is worthy of promotion in clinical practice.
