淮北市古地名“梧”考释

Study on the Ancient Geographic Name "Wu" of Huaibei City

淮北市是安徽省辖市之一,其辖域范围内有许多古地名,诸如“铚”“相”“袲”“竹邑”“梧”“柳子”“蕲泽”等。每一个古地名,都是其历史文化的积淀,都是当地经济社会发展响亮的名片和引擎。“梧”就是其中之一,“梧”这个古地名或许是战国时期楚国的“梧邑”或“梧县”,秦汉因之,两汉在此设立了梧侯国和梧县。“梧”这个古地名,其故址即今淮北市杜集区石台镇南北梧村。淮北市东外环内南北路——梧桐路,应源于“梧”或“梧桐”“梧桐山”“梧桐陂”这几个古地名(或山名、湖名)。淮北市委市政府决心将梧桐路打造成科技创新长廊,历史文化积淀而成的“梧”—“竹邑”—“运河”这一历史文化长廊,定会绽放出璀璨的光芒。

Huaibei City is a provincial city of Anhui Province,with many ancient geographic names in its area,such as"Zhi""Xiang""Chi""Zhuyi""Wu""Liuzi""Qize",etc.Every name of ancient place has its own historical and cultural accumulation,and is the resounding business card and engine of its economic and social development."Wu"is one of them,which might be"Wuyi"or"Wu County"of Chu during the warring states period.In Qin and Han dynasties,the name was used,and during the Two Han dynasties,the Wu principality and Wu County were set here.The ancient geographic name of"Wu"is right now in north and south Wu Village of Shitai Town,Duji District of Huaibei City.The north-south road in eastern outer ring of Huaibei City——Wutong Road,should be oriented from the ancient geographic names(or mountain names,lake names)of"Wu"or"Wutong","Wutong mountain"and"Wutongpi".The municipal party committee and municipal government of Huaibei City have decided to forge Wutong road into a scientific and technological innovation gallery.This historical and cultural gallery of"Wu"—"Zhuyi"—"Canal"accumulated by history and culture will surely shine bright.
