《归莲梦》对才子佳人小说创作的承袭与打破

On the Inheritance and Breakthrough to the Genius and Beauty Novels in Gui Lian Meng

古今论者大都认为明末清初才子佳人小说具有题材单一、人物类型化、情节模式化的特点,但此类小说在贯穿有清一代的发展过程中并非一成不变。作为一部康、乾时期的才子佳人小说,《归莲梦》既融汇神魔小说、英雄传奇、历史演义、世情小说等题材因素,塑造了白莲岸这个具有英雄气概的佳人形象,又将“人生如梦”、“有情皆孽”的虚无思想与悲观主义情调贯穿始终。因此,这部作品虽对明末清初才子佳人小说的某些创作模式有所承袭,但在题材、人物、主旨等方面均打破常规,进行了有意识的改变,对其后同类作品产生较大的启发和影响。

Most of the ancient and modern scholars believe that the genius and beauty novels in the late Ming and early Qing dynasty have the characteristics of single themes,typification of characters and fixed patterns of plots.However,such novels had changed in the development process of the Qing Dynasty.As a genius and beauty novel in the Kang and Qian Period of the Qing Dynasty,Gui Lian Meng not only integrated the theme of the supernatural evil-spirit novels,hero-legend novels,historical novels,and novels about human relationship,and shaped Bai Lian'an as a heroic beauty,but also ran through the illusory thoughts and pessimistic sentiments of“life is like a dream”and“all love is evil”.Therefore,although Gui Lian Meng inherited the creative mode of the genius and beauty novels in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty,it broke the conventions in terms of themes,characters and subject matter,and made conscious changes,so it had a greater inspiration and influence on its later works.
