City is the organic carrier of social development and natural resources renewal. Landscape is the core carrier to display urban history and culture, economic development and social order and is also closely related with the development of a city. The realization of sustainable development of landscape is of great help for improving the comprehensive strength of the city. The construction and creation of sustainable urban landscape enables the urban residents to obtain better survival and development space in the long run. This paper summarizes the types and principles of sustainability in urban landscape design, and then explores the sustainable development trend in urban landscape design combined with the theoretical research of relevant scholars and the specific practice of landscape companies.
