Cultural Similarities and Differences between Chinese and Japanese Proverbs

论文通过对中日谚语的分析,探讨了中日文化的异同。指出,中国人喜欢以批判、说教或者定义的形式表达谚语,给人严谨、正式的感觉;日本人则喜欢用生动、逼真的语言来表达谚语,给人栩栩如生的感觉。汉语气势恢宏,较为抽象,而日语较为细腻,形象较为具体;汉语侧重总结,给人教化,而日语通常留空白。

The work investigates similarities and differences between Chinese and Japanese culture by venture of the analysis of Chinese and Japanese proverbs.The results show that Chinese like to express proverbs in forms of criticism,preaching,and definition,which presents a rigorous and formal feeling.In contrast,Japanese like to express proverbs by use of vivid and realistic speeches,which shows human a lifelike feeling.Furthermore,Chinese is magnificent and more abstract,while Japanese is more delicate and more specific.Japanese usually leaves blank,while Chinese focuses on summing up and giving people education.
