Layout of GIS Master Programs in China and Its Research Trend

我国地理信息科学(Geographical Information System,GIS)高等教育发展迅速,在300多个方向招生硕士研究生,分析国内GIS研究的学科布局与研究趋向,可为新建GIS硕士点人才培养及方向设置提供参考。通过文献调研、汇总统计等方法获得近年来全国GIS硕士点研究方向及其依托机构信息,结果表明:开展硕士研究生教育的单位以师范类、综合类大学居多;区域分布不均衡,京苏鲁鄂陕硕士点个数位居全国前列;GIS硕士点的研究方向宏观上可概括为“空间认知、表达及可视化”“空间数据获取、处理与管理”“GIS空间分析与建模”“GIS应用、服务及其新进展”四大方向;与国际研究议程相比,我国GIS与社会科学结合等方面的研究方向不断充实;海洋及南海GIS、地理模拟与公共政策等方向特色鲜明。

Geographic information science(GIS)higher education has developed rapidly in recent years,providing more than 300 research directions for master degree candidates.Analysis of the research directions helps to get a general impression of GIS discipline layout and its research trends as well as provide references for the talent training and direction setting of newly established master programs.After a literature research and summary statistics of the research directions and supporting institutions of GIS master programs in recent years,it is found that education units of the master degree are mostly normal universities and comprehensive colleges.The regional distribution is uneven,with Beijing,Jiangsu,Shandong and Hubei ranking first in the number of master programs.The research directions of GIS master programs focus on four fields at the macro level:spatial cognition,expression and visualization;spatial data acquisition,processing and management;GIS spatial analysis and modeling;GIS application,service and new progress.When compared to interanational research agenda,the research directions that combine GIS and social science in China are continiously replenished,and the research directions of oceans and South China Sea GIS,geographical simulation and public policy are distinctively featured.
