Markers with specific cultural and ideological background,daily speech,and relevant text materials were selected to study the class nature and cultural filtering in translation.It is discovered that as a tool of human communication,language is often closely related to the social status of its users,even to the social class.Hence,when languages confront,inequality is revealed.Language treats people equally,but people use language differently which is the result of the different ways of realization of social linguistic encoding in different background.Analysis of the phenomenon of cultural filtering in translated text leads to the same conclusion,that is,translation investigates deep into the contemporaneity of language,and one of the motivations of cultural filtering is precisely based on the examination of the class nature of language.Therefore,translated texts could be the carrier of language characteristics in a specific historical period,endowing the language which is originally without ideological color or interest with power and functions of expressing ideologies of specific classes.
