Machinery manufacturing and machining are very traditional fields,which exist widely in the long human society. After the two industrial revolutions,the field of mechanical manufacturing gradually began to develop towards automation. The emergence of 3 D printing technology provides a new direction for the field of mechanical manufacturing. This paper introduces the characteristics of 3 D printing technology,and introduces the development of 3 D printing technology and its application in the field of mechanical manufacturing automation for reference.
