摘要
由于中西方文化的差异,中式菜名英译一直具有较大难度,误译现象广泛存在,翻译质量有待提升。文章先就中西菜肴命名方式的异同进行阐述,然后选取国内外广受好评的纪录片《舌尖上的中国2》第三集《时节》中的菜品英文翻译进行分析,试图总结出中式菜名英译的基本策略。
Due to the different cultural background between Chinese and western,the translation of Chinese dish names has always been difficult.Both mistranslations and improper translations are frequently found,so the Chinese-English translation quality needs to be improved.This study analyzed the English translation of Chinese dish names in the second season of A Bite of China episode Ⅲ and summarized some basic translation strategies of Chinese dishes.
