The Sincerity of a Scholar——Progressive Thoughts and Patriotism in Wang Zhongmin’s Letters

文章整理王重民致向达、刘脩业、袁同礼三位亲友书信,并择要进行解读,探讨王重民进步思想根源和浓厚的家国情怀。所整理书信日期从上世纪30年代至60年代,为北京大学图书馆和信息管理系王重民专藏之资料,涉及王重民先生主要学术生涯。通过这些书信,可以看出王重民精研学术同时,将家国之情、报国之志融入其中并不断影响学术成长的过程。

Letters wrote by Mr.Wang Zhongmin to Xiang Da,Liu Xiuye and Yuan Tongli are sorted out and interpreted to study the origin of Mr.Wang Zhongmin’s progressive thought and patriotism.The letters,dated from 1930 s to 1960 s,were special collection of Wang Zhongmin from the Department of Library and Information Management,Peking University and covered his main academic career.Wang got great academic achievements and it shows that he integrated his patriotism and desire to serve the country with academic research which influenced the process of academic growth constantly.
