In order to cultivate the thinking quality and the key ability defined in the core quality of mathematics in senior high school,this paper discusses three basic characteristics of mathematics,namely,the generality,rigor and the universality of mathematics application,which can help students to truly achieve the requirements of the core quality of mathematics in senior high school.
