摘要
当读者把《檀香刑》和《喧哗与骚动》放在一起审视时,总会清晰地感觉到福克纳对于莫言的影响,无论是意识流手法的使用,还是多角度叙事的借鉴,都可以看作向昔日经典的致敬。然而,莫言的借鉴绝不是简单的模仿,他丰富和发展了福式叙事的技巧,并巧妙地将民间文化和魔幻想象融入到文本中,为我们创作出一部既忠于民族文化又张扬想象魔力、既采用西方技巧又凸显本土艺术的优秀作品。
Readers of White Sandalwood Punishment and The Sound and The Fury can always detect Faulkner’s influence on Mo Yan in the use of stream of consciousness and shifting perspectives,which is considered to be a salute to classic.However,what Mo Yan did was not mere imitation but a profound development in narrative techniques.He found his way to add folk culture and hallucination into the novel in a subtle way,hereby presenting a piece of great work with the combination of the charm of national culture and the wonder of magical imagination,with both western writing techniques and Chinese folk art.
