As a comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination,China and Russia are a new model of stateto-state relations,such as political mutual respect,economic complementarity,mutual trust in security and coordination on international issues.In recent years,thanks to the principle of high political mutual trust and mutual benefit,China and Russia have made significant progress in energy infrastructure connectivity,constantly set new records in energy trade and expanded energy cooperation in many fields.At present,as the world’s largest oil and gas importer,China’s first priority is to ensure a steady supply of oil and gas.However,in the global economic downturn,geopolitical instability are intertwined with many uncertainty factors,which have seriously destabilized the global energy market.Meanwhile,the volatility of oil price has also played a negative impact on the oil and gas exporters.Therefore,closer energy cooperation between Russia and China will help enhance the stability of the global energy market and upgrade Sino-Russian economic and trade relations.
