柳宗元佛教碑文探微

Study on Liu Zong-yuan’s Buddhist Inscriptions

柳宗元留下的佛教碑文大多是受逝世和尚的弟子请求而写作的,唯有1篇是自发创作。与同时代写有佛教碑文的王维、刘禹锡相比,柳宗元的这类创作有碑文铭辞,所叙人物全是逝世高僧大德,概述他们一生的行迹。这些碑文创作真实地再现了中唐的佛教生态且部分反映了柳宗元独特的儒释道求同思想,在柳集中占有特殊地位。

Many of the buddhist inscriptions left by Liu Zong-yuan were written at the request of the deceased monks,Only one piece belong to spontaneous creation.Compared with Wang Wei and Liu Yu-xi,who wrote buddhist inscriptions in the same period,Liu Zong-yuan's such creations have epigram.All the characters mentioned are the dead eminent monk.Although the outline of their life journey,but to dilute the propaganda of Buddhism.These inscriptions represent the Buddhism ecology of the middle tang dynasty and partly reflect the author's unique fusion thought of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism,which occupies a special position in Liu Zong-yuan's collected works.
