高等教育研究的国际视野与本土情怀——陈学飞教授专访

Internationalization and Localization of Higher Education Research:An Interview with Professor Chen Xuefei

在知识经济蓬勃发展的当下,高等教育在国家创新体系建设、国家经济发展中的作用愈发凸显。而加强高等教育研究是创新高等教育理论、提高高等教育质量、增强国家竞争力、建设高等教育强国的关键。陈学飞教授在四十余年的学术生涯中注重处理好高等教育研究的本土化与国际化关系问题,指出高等教育研究需结合时代实际,研究人员和研究生需树立学理意识、问题意识、方法意识、历史意识、政策意识和国际意识六个意识,掌握从精准选题、完善文献梳理与分析、规范研究方法、丰富事实资料到切实建构理论五项学术研究必备要素,坚持将立足国情的本土化研究与具有一定普适性的国际化研究相结合,并对目前国内高等教育研究及实践中存在的功利化、课题化、行政化问题进行了反思。

With the rapid development of knowledge economy,higher education plays an increasingly important role in the national innovation system and national economic growth.Hence promoting high education research in China is the key to innovating higher education theories,improving the quality of higher education,enhancing the country’s competitiveness,and building a leading higher education system.With over four decades dedicated to research,Professor Chen Xuefei has made pioneering efforts in unpacking the relationship between localization and internationalization of high education research.He points out that higher education research needs to be situated in the reality of the times.He suggests that higher education researchers need to concern themselves with a wide array of causes,which includes academic,problem-oriented,methodological,historical,policy-related,as well as international concerns.To improve research practice,he recommends focusing on the five essential elements covering topic selection,literature synthesis and analysis,standardized methodology,evidence support,and theory construction.He further proposes informing locally-based research endeavors with applicable insights from international research,so as to reflect on the utilitarian and bureaucratic problems in domestic higher education research and practice.
