摘要
The current listening class teaching in college is faced with problems that the teaching method is too traditional to de?velop the students’self-learning ability and that the way elaborating on the related knowledge to students is indoctrinating teach?ing,which can not effectively stimulate students’learning interest and confirm students’enough information input.Mind map is a graphical thinking tool,which is beneficial for divergent thinking and can visualize the process of thinking.It uses both pictures and texts to show the logical relationship between themes at all levels and to establish memory links between thematic keywords and images.Therefore,it can activate the knowledge on certain topic in students’mind easily.And also,it can also be utilized as a useful note-taking skill for students in such an organized way that they can recall the information more easily.By applying the mind map into listening teaching of college English,students’listening skill and critical thinking ability can be developed.This thesis tries to provide some advice on listening teaching patterns and strategies in college English class based on applying the mind map into listening teaching,aiming at constructing the active listening teaching environment and better cultivate students listen?ing skills and automatic learning ability.
