A Review and Discussion on Wolfgang L?rscher’s Rudimentary Ability to Mediate Hypothesis

回顾Wolfgang Lorscher提出的“跨语言调节基本能力”假说,从两方面对该假说的局限性展开讨论:一是对不同群体的“跨语言调节基本能力”缺少明确界定,二是对非专业译者与专业译者的翻译加工过程的描述不够全面。

This paper reviews the“rudimentary ability to mediate”hypothesis proposed by Wolfgang Lorscher,and further discusses the limitations from two aspects:one is the lack of conspicuous definitions of the ability hereof for different groups;the other is a relatively plain description on the translation processing against professional and non-professional translators.
