The Irish writer Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula describes the mortal struggle between human beings and vampires. For a long time,Dracula has been regarded as a vampire novel for people to amuse themselves. However,a profound social narrative text is hidden under the framework of its vampire story.Stoker used the Gothic novels popular at that time to allude to the Irish living situation under the British empire in the middle and late 19th century,as well as the anxiety and fear of the British for foreign cultures including Celtic. The novel implies that only when self and otherness and subject and object understand each other, can harmonious coexistence maintain the stable development of society and itself.
