库恩论“不可通约性”及其对文化互鉴的意义

Kuhn’s Theory of “Incommensurability” and Its Significance to Cultural Mutual Appreciation

学界经常将"不可通约性"解读为两种范式之间无法互译,持不同范式的成员在概念、行动、标准选择等方面无法相互理解,由此简单地认为不同文化之间无法互通。为消除以上误解,通过对库恩科学哲学思想的历时性和共时性重读,不仅还原了库恩"不可通约性"思想的完整内涵,还充分揭示了其对文化互鉴的积极意义。

In academic circles,"incommensurability"is often interpreted as the non-translatability between the two different paradigms which cannot understand each other in terms of concept,action,selection criteria,etc.Thus,they simply believe it is very difficult to interflow between the cultures.In order to eliminate the above misunderstandings,the diachronic and synchronic re-reading of Kuhn’s thought on philosophy of science not only reconstructs the complete connotation of Kuhn’s thought on"incommensurability",but also fully reveals its positive significance to mutual appreciation of culture.
