The universalization,serialization,modularization(USM)work of product is an important part of scientific research and production management in electronic equipment development enterprises.Combined with the development process of electronic equipment and the characteristics of many specialties in large scientific research institutes,this paper expounds the basic principle of USM and the significance of carrying out the work of USM.Based on the concept of system engineering,it takes the top-level design and collaborative promotion as the driving force,constructs the model of product USM propulsion system,and establishes a set of effective USM promotion and implementation methods.
