A Successful Example of the Macao SAR’s Development Strategy of “Associating Far and Integrating Near”——On the Construction of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation Between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries

澳门回归20年来,“一国两制”实践取得了举世瞩目的成就。中葡论坛已成为澳门继续保持其作为祖国内地与葡语国家进行经济联系的“窗口、桥梁、国际通道”区位优势新的支撑点,成为澳门推进经济适度多元化进程,建设世界旅游休闲中心、中国与葡语国家商贸合作服务平台的助推力,成为中国与葡语国家在平等互利、合作共赢、优势互补、利益共享的原则基础上发展稳定而深入的经济交流与合作的重要纽带。

In the 20 years since the return of Macao,the practice of“one country,two systems”has made worldwide achievements.The Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation Between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries has become a new supporting point for Macao to continue to maintain its geographical advantages as a“window,bridge and international channel”for economic ties between the mainland and Portuguese-speaking countries,a boost to promote appropriate diversified process of its economy,build a world tourism and leisure center and a service platform for trade cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries and an important link between China and Portuguesespeaking countries in developing stable and in-depth economic exchanges and cooperation on the basis of the principles of equality,mutual benefit,win-win cooperation,complementary advantages and benefit sharing.
