Adaptive Design of Walking Aids for the Elderly Based on Behavioral Demands

目的针对老年人出行特征,基于行为需求提出适老性助行产品的设计方案,满足当代老年人的养老需求。方法以环境行为学及马斯洛需求论为理论基础,分析老年人助行需求与使用行为方式作为设计目标,根据出行过程中的行为需求,在建立老年人使用助行产品行为流程的基础上,归纳以人、产品、环境三者之间关系为主线的老年助行产品适老性设计策略。通过用户调研与设计定位,选择老年助行车为载体展开设计实践,以动静行为转换、应对环境变化、满足自主出行意愿体现老年助行产品设计的适老性。结论基于老年行为需求使助行产品真正适应老年人的生活方式,构建设计策略指导设计实践,为后续研究老年人助行产品提供一定的理论支撑和实践参考价值。

The work aims to put forward the design scheme of walking-aid products for the elderly,based on the behavioral demands regarding the travel characteristics of the elderly,so as to meet the care needs of the elderly.With the environmental behavioral science and Maslow's theory of needs as the theoretical basis,the walking-aid needs and using behaviors of the elderly as a design goal were analyzed.Then,according to the behavioral demands in the travel process,based on the establishment of the behavior process of the elderly using the walking-aid products,the design strategy of the elderly walking-aid products with the relationship among people,products and environment as the main line was summarized.Through user research and design positioning,the elderly walking aids were selected as the carrier to carry out design practice,which reflected the adaptation of the elderly walking-aid product design by changing dynamic and static behaviors,coping with environmental changes and meeting the willingness to travel independently.Based on the behavioral demands of the elderly,the walking-aid products can really adapt to the lifestyle of the elderly,and the design strategies can be constructed to guide the design practice,providing certain theoretical support and practical reference value for the follow-up study on the walking-aid products for the elderly.
