Li Dazhao and the Early Dissemination of Marxist Economics in China

五四运动前后,马克思主义理论开始在中国大范围传播,其经济学说亦随之受当时先进知识分子的关注。中国最早的马克思主义者、五四运动领导者、北京大学教授李大钊引领时代潮流,通过发表文章、编辑刊物、参与社团、公开讲演以及讲授课程等方式向青年学生宣扬马克思主义经济学说,为马克思主义经济学说在中国的传播做出开创性贡献,并对中国经济学科的发展产生深远影响。

Many Chinese advanced intellectuals paid great attention to Marxist economics when Marxism began to spread widely in China around the May 4^th Movement in 1919.Among them was Li Dazhao,one of the faculty at Peking University and one of the earliest Marxists in China,who acted as an important leader of the May 4^th Movement.As a professor of Peking University,he took an active part in introducing Marxist economics to the young students at Peking University after his acceptance of Marxism through such ways as publishing articles in several journals,editing periodicals,participating in activities of political or academic groups,delivering public speeches and offering courses.Through all he did,he made great contribution to the early dissemination of Marxist economics in China,thus producing a far-reaching influence upon the development of modern economics in our country.
