Taking the process layout of Venice automated container terminal in Italy as an example,this paper analyzes the handling technology of the container terminal from the aspects of the performance of the process system and engineering investment.The applicability,advantages and disadvantages of seven kinds of automated container handling technology are discussed,which can provide a reference for the design of automated container terminal handling technology scheme.
